Tips for OET Reading and Listening

OET Reading test is in 2 parts and takes one hour. Changes to part A of the test has been in place since 2010.
Part A of OET reading has 4 short pieces of text which the candidates need to read and then complete 25 to 30 gaps in the summary document. Only 15 minutes are allowed for this test. The management of time is important.
OET Listening test consists of 2 parts – Part A is a consultation that is 2 people speaking and it takes 8 t 10 minutes
Part B is a short lecture and it lasts for 25 to 30 minutes.
The listening test takes 1 hour to complete and the candidates have to take down the notes while listening and complete a questionnaire. The important skills to pass this test is being able to expect what some person will say and take notes in English when listening to the test.
